Default auto transport recommendation

I need to ship a car from Chicago to Phila. Any references for carriers? If weather window is good, I might ship open since it is only a one day trip and half the price. Any thoughts?

Reliable, Intercity, JP Logitics, are all of the ones that will get it there the safest most likely unless you found a single car enclosed.

When my car was shipped from ATL to CLE, the dealer used a broker named Bears Transport. I believe they are actually out of Chicago. I had no issues with them and my friend used them from CLE to SAN with no issues. Both different companies that it was contracted out to that did the actual shipping.

I used http://www.angelsmovingautos.com to ship from east coast to west coast. Great to work with.

Reliable Carriers - used them twice with this car. KY to WI then WI to SC.

I used "Ship a car Direct" which is like a broker and they assigned it to Safe Way Auto Inc.
They shipped in an enclosed trailer and I was happy overall with the experience. You can check transport reviews if there is a specific carrier you're thinking of reading more about.

Intercity Lines is very well known also, they're a bit of premium but I only hear good things about them. I've haven't used them yet.

I have used plycar for my nissan from Omaha to Seattle...they were fantastic. Just used horseless carriage for my 65 Coronet 440 from Delaware to Austin, also delivered perfectly for Xmas surprise for parents. After Xmas I plan to ship the Coronet to Seattle using Intercity who I have also heard great things about. These were all enclosed trucks.

I would not assume that it is a one day trip. Even if they promise. These carriers pickup and drop off along the way and out of the way.

I have used Reliable (enclosed for a GWagen) and Angels (open for a Prius). Both no issues.

I would recommend Reliable. I know they do a lot of prototype vehicle (multi million dollars hand build) transport for automakers here in Detroit area.
They are not the cheapest though...

another vote for angels. however, when transporting, be weary of who is subtracted and ensure they are reputable.

Highly recommend Bear's Transport. Liz and company were an amazing broker, transported my 911 4S from Texas to WA on time, in great condition, and dealt well with my paranoia. Here is the car being picked up and then 5 days later at home
