Default Beginning of goodbye

Well I have had my 997.2 which is a base 2009 for a wonderous 2 years, but due to an upcoming divorce I am going to need to let it go.

it is a 2009 base 3.6 liter with a standard transmission. Black on black, 19” rims, heated 18 ways power seats with the memory function and the adaptive headlights. Brand new clutch and a Gundo exhaust with a crossover. 98,000 miles.

I live half way between Houston and Dallas so there are no shops where a PPI could be done.
what should I ask for it?

Sorry to hear that, and best of luck to you. We will be waiting for you in another 911 down the line!

I'll echo that sentiment. Much more educated choice the second time. Make sure you ask whatever lawyer you get about "right of first refusal". I won't bother to describe it here, but it comes in handy when your ex can't watch the kids due to travel or whatever.

So sorry to hear this. Nothing good about a divorce. That car - and jumping in it for the occasional country drive to clear your head - could be your saving grace. However, if its gotta go, its gotta go.
I'd be looking at high 30's. It has high miles, no mention of IMS. Good luck with it. Lot's of good Porsche guys down your way.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I really need it right now as it feels my heart has been removed from my chest with a dull spoon.

As for the car it is a 997.2 so there is no IMS bearing to worry about. Gotta love the direct injection engine. I will be selling my crossover pipe though and putting the original muffler back on.

Damn, I remember when you bought your car here in Southern California and drove it back to Texas. Sorry to hear about your divorce.

dang, I can feel your pain brother. I’ve been down that path before and the pain is real. I don’t have much more to say but time will heal everything. I ended up with a much better girl than the last one. Take care and good luck

You may want to consider figuring out how to keep it, nice long drives in may be therapeutic.

Very sorry to hear that. But I thought it was supposed to work the other way? You get divorced and then buy the sports car...

I agree with Prairiedawg. Keep the car and skip the therapy.
