Does anyone happen to have the part number for gasket for the case end? Also when I took mine apart. The plastic needle cage bearing was broken. My local dealer doesn't show any internal PDK parts to sell. TIA

Hello My Friend,
I came upon your article while searching for information on the DSG transmission.
You see, I am an independent trainer and would like to be able to offer an explanation on the DSG transmission to students when asked.
I would like to take you up on your offer for either a link to - or a copy of - the article you offer on the DSG transmission.
My email is: trainthemnow@gmail.com
Thank you so much and . . .
Best Regards

Talking We Currently have 5 failed PDKs in our shop

We currently have 5 PDKs in our shop that have failed...
All have one thing is in common, the OEM distance sensor has failed. Seen here next to its new replacement. We also replace the speed sensor while we are in there since both require the transmission to be disassembled.

We are located at 26212 Dimension drive suite 130 Lake Forest CA.

We are very experienced with these transmissions so if you are having any issues please dont hesitate to reach out.

Okay here goes nothing. Thanks all for this awesome thread!

I'm going to attempt te repair of my PDK myself. Although I've done a lot of maintenance on my cars and even build complete air-cooled engines and supercharged others, the PDK repair is outside my comfort zone. But still It shouldn't be to difficult. I'm 'just' swapping out the solenoids.

Thing is though my PDK does NOT give any faults on the dash of the car. It just won't go into reverse and 1st gear anymore. It does however drive in 2nd en shifts into neutral (all b it with a loud clunk) It does however give me several faults in PIWIS:

So based upon my skillset and this topic I decided to just throw parts at the problem and see if that solves my issue. I don't have the skillset to replace the distance sensor myself. So hoping the solenoids will give me the fix I need. If not than I think it's time to hand it over to a specialist.

For now which me lucht with these.
