Suncoast sells the pair for $1095. I have the pair in a .2 C4S... I like it, it's ok. You have to clean out the slots in the riser occasionally. On my build sheet it says code ECA. If I was shopping for a ****, which I will at some point. I would get the 917 retro wood one and have the wood layered in the cars colors. Mine is white with black leather. I would try to have someone layer a white wood with a black wood over and over for a custom job. I guess it is the interiors focal point when I think about it.

I have the ECA option. It's fine. I wouldn't have optioned it. And will likely change to something else. But it's fine....

I’d like to pick one up in Sand Beige, but Suncoast only sells it with the handbrake which I don’t want. On the lookout for one now on these boards and eBay, but not holding my breath, as I think it’ll be close to impossible to find one in Sand Beige.

I have the shift **** and handbrake in my 2009 997.2. They’re fine. The aluminum gets nicked up really easily. But the hollow riser in the shift **** does look pretty cool.

Like mine. Agree the silver gets nicked up, but is a nice addition. Hefty e brake handle.

So the verdict is that the metal is soft and that it gets dirty with use.

Anyone switch from a standard shift **** to the metal one? What was your opinion?

I replaced mine with a weighted **** made by raceseng. Has a nice finish on it and they have several contours and shapes available for different hand placement styles. I’ve always liked a weighted **** for shift feel and the raceseng has been great so far although I’d prefer a more classic look. Been meaning to post a review on it for awhile will try and get around to it this week with some photos.

I have X97 shifter and handbrake. I haven’t really noticed that it nicks easily. The shifter looks almost new though there might be some light scratches on the handbrake. I will have to look now.
