Default Most-hur harness adapter

Hello Gentlemen, I am looking to upgrade my stereo/ navigation on my 997. Has anyone installed a Most-hur harness adapter. If so where there any issues. I am looking to install Kenwood unit. I want a plug and play installation , so in the future I can reinstalled the original head unit. Thanks for your comments

I just finished installing mine this weekend, with a Kenwood DDX9904S head unit and front/rear cameras. I would go with a Kenwood unit ending in "4" since it should be compatible with the MOST HUR's built in steering wheel controls.

The unit is great and I did the Navtv dash kit as well. The only downside here is that the kit loses retained accessory power, but I'm seeing if there's a way to wire it differently and retain that. Retained accessory power is when you turn off the car and the radio keeps playing, but stops when you remove the key.

Be sure to set the front/back fader control on the PCM before removing the unit. The MOST-HUR optical bus converter does not support fader control - you will be stuck with whatever setting was last set to the Bose amplifier by the OEM PCM head unit.

It's not really a problem, just set it to neutral or slightly to the rear before swapping.

Thank you Gentlemen, for all your comments. I am leaning towards the Most-hur adapter. The price is on the only drawback at $649.00.

The whole point of that big thread from above was that you can pretty much get the same functionality with the cheaper MOST box => $100 ballpark.
I don't have anything against Nav-Tv, but why pay a lot more for almost the same functionality?

EDIT: I do realize that the CAI and Nav-Tv MOST boxes have 4 RCA connections and the cheap box has only 2, so you might still have fader control and true F-R outputs.
But then $650 is a lot for this feature(that's my opinion though)

Keep an eye out on eBay and classifieds. I scored my NavTV MOST HUR ($649) and the NavTV dash kit ($200) for a total of $200 shipped.
