Are these life time air filters? If so, how do you clean them out?

Yes, they are lifetime. You can clean them in the following ways:
  1. Take them out and smack them lightly to shake out loose dirt and debris (50% solution)
  2. Use a vacuum with brush on the filters (80% solution)
  3. Buy a spray from them (or just use some type of cleaner) to soak the filter material, rinse the filters out and let them dry (99% solution)
If you plan on changing air filters yourself / work on your car, I feel like lifetime filters are better since you'll be less likely to skimp on the replacement filters and will do it more frequently than the 2 yr / 20k mile recommendation... plus I feel like the engine breathes better.

I recently replace mine with Mahale brand, didn't fit well like the OEM. I might go for these next. Thanks for the feedback.
