Default Brake fluid

So about to do the brake fluid flush on the 997, Macan, and 535. BMW rec LV dot 4. Went to the Porsche parts list diagrams and looked at Porsche brake fluid. Turns out Porsche has switched all cars post 2004 to low viscosity DOT 4 class 6 fluid. Then watched a video of P Tech do a brake fluid change. The bottles he used clearly said DOT4 LV class 6 and at the end of the video he said use super dot 4...

Im going to go with Porsche spec fluid and use the LV dot 4

I use ATE DOT 4 sl.6 in everything with ABS. Has a lower boiling point iirc compared to typ 200.

I use Motul RBF600 in all my vehicles that require DOT 4.

Sames. Use this stuff on the race bike too. It's great.

Also just put it into my offroad dirt bike for the hydraulic brakes that spec a DOT 4 fluid.

Using one fluid in all the vehicles makes the annual brake bleed very fast and easy with a Motive power bleeder. I pour about 5 liters of fluid into the Motive then hit all the cars one by one. My wheel designs are open enough where I don't even have to remove the wheels to access the bleed screws and attach a silicone hose into a collection bottle. It's the only time I use the Motive wet - for individual jobs I use it dry just to pressurize the system.

Agree with this. You cannot go wrong with RBF600/660, and I track also. ?
