I would add a 996/GT3 to what we already have.

Default 1/8 of a Singer 964

I would get 1/8 of a mid-spec Singer 964 with 7 friends.

Can I put the $125k cash down on a 997.2 GT3 RS and finance the difference? If yes, then that's what I'd do. If no then I'd find a PTS 997.2 GT3 or a clean 991.1 GT3.

What vehicle tax are you referring to? Even worse than in Cali?

True and those are great cars that I think are under appreciated. But...something about a V12 Ferrari though!

My brother was just in this situation. He already owned a 991.1 C2S. Looked into CPO GT3 991, but ultimately just got a 2019 991.2 GTS.

Personally, I would have gotten as high up in the 997 GT3 line as I could. Probably meaning a 997.2 GT3 (non-RS). To me the manual trans, and feel of the 997 is much more enjoyable and involving than the 991.

Honestly, I don't know what the exact tax rate is. What I do know, is that for my 08 997, 14 958, and 09 Jetta, I pay over 100 bucks a month in tax. For vehicles I own. #taxationistheft

Virginia is 4.2% per year. First $20k is subsidized at around 50%. So a $125k car would cost about $4,600 per year.

California looks to be 1.75%. So yeah, Virginia blows.
