Agreed 100%. The 550 was the first Ferrari I ever drove and still my favorite modern F-car. TDF blue 550 with a Tubi... yes please.
Also ignoring maintenance costs, a Murci LP640 can be had for the top end of the $125K budget. 997 GT3 is definitely high up my list too. Ferrari 430 too.

It’s funny that so many responses come from people that own a 911 and, if given $125,000 to buy another car, they would buy another type of 911. That is like telling someone who loves vanilla ice cream that they could have, for free, any other flavor ice cream in the world - and they choose vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge swirl. (And I do not mean to suggest that 911s are plain Jane cars.) Brand fealty is wholly understandable, but there is a universe of interesting cars out there.
What would you do with the other 2 that you can get for that price?

Me currently.........I would want a gen 2 Audi R8, or up a bit more for a used McLaren 570S. But who knows...after trying all those cars, I just might end back up with a nice used Turbo or GT3. Porsche quality has been quite solid

If I could track down my '72T that I sold back in 1990...
Otherwise, I'd find another '72T either fully restored or have it restored. I also miss my 84 Carrera and 97 993, but the '72T is missed the most.
