Figured I would share my latest project. I installed Sport Mode on my base 997.1 C2. A pain in the *** but fun results.

The Backstory: My indy thought they could get a backdoor code from the dealer but that was a fail. Germany needs to generate it. You buy the Sport Mode card, the dealer sends that number to Germany with your VIN and they send back a code. And your indy cant upload it with their PIWIS. Only the dealer can do it...

All-in-all it cost me $1080. $790 for the code + 1hr service at the dealer + 1 month of phone calls and hassle. The service department at my dealer said they would call me back 6 times. Never did.

Was it Worth It? I think so. It's fun. It increases throttle response and definitely snaps you back off the line. I was debating buying a tune instead but I like the fact this is factory. I found it interesting that when I emailed some of the tune companies and said I wanted to do a writeup on it for RL - they stopped answering my questions :-)
