Default Smoking on Start up

I have a 997.1 4s. I drive it about once a week if a get the chance never more than 30 or 40 mins I keep the car in an underground garage and for the most part my location is always over 120 degress I rarely get the chance to get the car over 80mph. I do my best to keep up with all the maintenance and its all done by Porsche but I notice that the car will smoke a little when I start it after it has set for a week or so but Porsche never mention any leaks or any issues also I notice I have to add a little Oil every so often my question is this normal or is there a place a shoule be checking for a leak, also is it normal for the car to drain the battery when sitting for a period of time because it seems to be hard to start when it sits for awhile

Thanks for any comments ahead time

If you are dealing with underground parking that is on a slope ...

Oil sits on the cylinder walls to the crank side of the pistons when you shut down the motor.

The slope flows the oil to the piston rings.

Sitting there as the motor cools some oil will slip past the rings.

Thus smoking at start up. Not uncommon.

Yes, normal. My .2 doesn’t use any oil but the car does blow a little smoke on cold starts occasionally after it has sat for a couple of days. My 991 did this as well.

I wouldn't worry about it if the engine is healthy which your's seems to be.
was told years ago that when you shut off the motor and cylinder 6 exhaust valve is open, you will get smoke at startup.

Mine does this in 1 in 20 starts.

Mine only smokes if I start it and shut it off fairly quickly, like if I wash it in the driveway then move it into the garage. On the next start it will exhibit a puff of smoke.

If it's parked on a not flat surface, it will Lso smoke on startup.

Car should be kept on a battery maintainer if only driven once a week or less often.
