Tips look like they are sagging. Have you checked your engine mounts?

I am looking to get back in the Pcar fold, meaning I've been there B4. My last one was a highly modified 930 that was an absolute beast. However, to '"move on", I sold it to buy land and a house. End of that.
Many years later I'd like to find a nice 996 C4S. Price IS an object, miles irreverent,, mostly good condition.

I was in that "Don't Drive IT, YOU LOOSE $$" before. I think now that ll of that is BS. Why buy a Porsche, and not driveit? Porsche said "Meeting the Demands of Society is no excuse to build a boring car". So drive the thing. After all, I do not genuflect on them, in reality it is just a (clever) pile of nuts, bolts, and metal. Big deal. I am old enough now to say, screw resale. You don't buy something as enthusiast to sell it. you want to drive it. So just do it. OK, I'll get off the soapbox.

Whenever I get my replacement 911, I'll maintain it, love it, care for it, baby it at times, sometimes a DD, but also drive the pi$$ out of it even if it snows!
For reference:
A little excessive on roof rack and stuff, JMO
YMMV

I think now is a pretty good time to be in the market, but I say this knowing this market hasn't really changed that much in the last 2 years at least for the type of 997s in this specific forum. GT3's and Turbo's aside, I certainly didn't buy my 67K example not to drive it. One year later and it's about to creep into the 70K mark. Do I drive it a ton? Nope, but it's a weekend special occasion car for me so it's being used for its intended purpose. Plus, I like to tinker on it and admire it like we all do from inside our garage. I'm pretty confident I won't lose much money on it, but even if I did so what. Had to comment on this somewhat revived thread as Lapis Blue is also my jam!
