Where is it located on the door (I guess the driver side)? I am not sure what should I be looking for?

Literally 3 seconds for me. I installed the CTEK to my garage door opener above, and hang the cord down. It acts as a stop for me pulling into the garage. I installed the "Y" cable on the battery and it is stuffed between the hood and wiper cowl. Seriously... three second click.

Peace

Passenger side. But, in newer models Porsche removed this "notch" because it's totally unnecessary.

CTek and Battery Tender are both good. I use Battery Tenders because when I toured the Ingram collection, they were using Battery Tenders.

Battery Tender Jr. $25. Easy. Quick release pigtail connects directly to battery.

I set mine up like that, so I can have the hood closed all the time and still charge it, I have a cheap battery tender that works, but I ended up getting a Schumacher like this and using it because it lets me know exactly how many volts and what % mine is. It just hangs in the garage above the car.

What is the best place to run the wire if you are closing the door on the wire? It seems like there is a gap in the upper left corner of drivers side door?

I use a Porsche battery tender. I plug it into the cigarette lighter, lay the cable across the door sill, close the door and plug into a power source. There is plenty of clearance between the door and sill.

Default Ctek not going past first charger notch

Hi all - I have not had any issues with the CTEK but I just saw after my last trip that the progress of charging does not no past the first dot. And then saw the red ! Light up. I just plugged it in again and not seeing any progress via the dotted lights. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Ctek chargers are designed to "test" the health of your battery before they begin charging. The feedback you are getting from the charger indicates that there is something wrong with your battery ( ie. bad cell, won't accept a charge). I suggest you get the battery tested. A battery tester, such as a SOLAR, would give you more detailed information about the health of your battery. Any shop can do it as well.

That and also check the condition of the contacts in the quick connect/disconnect on the unit's wires. Clean those with a proper electrical contact cleaner and make sure the contact issue good.
