This!
C63 or E63. Outstanding cars to daily drive

Wow, there's so much hate towards Maserati... some valid points, but to me, most are just biased against it without reason.

I've driven a cpl, and it's WAY NICER than Panamera, specially any old Panamera, or C63/E63, sounds WAAAYYYY BETTER, it handled very well, 50/50 weight distribution, fit and finish inside is great, more special I'd say than German cars, and in general it has a more luxurious feel and uniqueness than any similar German car I've been in.

My .02, drive one and if you FELL IN LOVE with it, BUY ONE and enjoy... that's what matters at the end of day, nothing else! Yeah, they're not great on a track, nor as reliable as Porsche, and may have higher depreciation, but so does Cayenne, most Porsche's outside of GT variants, etc... these cars are mostly to ENJOY, not an investment.

PS. Since you're looking at a 2017, it should have had some good depreciation, so some of the negative points are taken off.

Drove one, and OH BOY, it's simply at another level compared to like M3, or RS4, and even the base model 2.0T, was something special. Very under-rated car and simply the sportiest sedan for the money.

I'll be in Italy for a couple of weeks this fall and have one reserved as a rental once we leave Rome.

The most obnoxious thing about new Maseratis is when the exhaust valve opens at 3k RPMs and it just starts blaring unnecessarily. Some good recommendations here regarding the Alpha, just go CPO to mitigate risk.

Coworker bought a Masarati new. 10k miles and front wheels shot. Bad alignment/camber. Took it to the dealership, new front tires...less than 10k front tires shot again. Dealer could not fix - apparently needs shims yada yada.

Interior parts looked like they were from a Dodge Durango. He got rid of it (lost his shirt) and went back to a Mercedes.

Fit and finish inferior for price. It sounded good, but he regrets the purchase.

I can't get past the resemblance of the 4 door versions to a Buick. Not a fan of the Maz styling at all. Granted, a Maserati has a Ferrari power plant, but as others have said, the Alpha is maybe a better choice.

True that the great depreciation plays both ways. Initially it allows you to buy one for much cheaper than new, and in return, you'll loose more money than most other car makes when you sell.

But the sound!!!! Oh so nice! And the granturismo is one sexy beast.

I haven't had one but Maseratis do look very cheap on the inside....especially the Ghibli. Gran Turismo is worth a try, but I doubt anything else from their current lineup.

I would also vote Panamera if you want a sport luxury sedan. They're not that expensive if getting one that's 3 to 4 years old.

I have no hate for Maseratis. Every time I see one it catches my eye and i admire its styling. But buying a Maserati is a foolish decision.

Do some research. All of the auto press loves a Maser when it comes out, then the long-term tests show the real deal. Neither C&D nor R&T have tested a Maserati in the past few years without a malfunction. Not one test. Many times, that malfunction required a trip on a rollback to get the car moving again.

Service is expensive and time consuming and the dealer network is sparse. My neighbor has a Maser. His dash lit up like a Christmas tree so he had it taken to the dealer. They gave him a Toyota for a loaner because all of their Maserati Ghibli loaners had broken down and were in the shop.

But, it's a free country and Uber is cheap if you really have to get somewhere.

The interior quality of the quatroporte is reportedly much better than the Ghibli and Levante, but not great. The GT is better yet, but it sounds like a real coupe is not appropriate for your needs. I like the GT, but I'm not brave enough to own one.

But I just saw news today of a car I've always wanted finally being available in the USA. Audi RS6 Avant.

I've been giving some thought to selling my 997 and getting a luxury car as well.

Drove a Bentley continental gt speed (2010). It was nice but I just didn't get that "I love this car" feeling.

Thinking of s550 coupe now but haven't driven one.

Those "Life's been good" lyrics need a re-write

"My Maserati cost 185.
Breaks every week, so now I don't drive."

My Cayenne Turbo and Panamera Turbo were two of the best all-around daily driving cars I've ever had.
