Default need 997.1 help

i had a 3rd party vendor for my shop come and reset my service interval light. since then when i turn the car off and shut the door the displays (speed, miles and clock) stay on. the only way they shut off is if i lock the doors with the fob, otherwise they remain on and the battery is too low to start the vehicle the next day, if i use the fob its fine. battery is new this year. any ideas on how to fix this or what the issue is? thanks for any help in advance. pic is of the parts that stay on

Plug-in voltmeter.

Engine off check of static battery voltage. Note yellow light shows voltage a little low.

Engine running voltage shows alternator is operating correctly.
Always start with the battery when troubleshooting electrical issues. Check voltage both engine off then engine running. You can do this in car with an inexpensive tool that plugs into the cigarette lighter, or open the frunk and do it with a multimeter. Assuming your voltages are nominal disconnect the battery cables and check connections for corrosion.

its not a battery or charging issue, that all checks out fine. its the display on the dash not turning off unless i lock the car with the fob

Is the trip odometer button stuck pressed in? Press it a couple of times to make sure it moves freely

Well, if you've ruled out battery and connections, then I'd next disconnect the battery terminals and let the car sit for 30 minutes. If that's no help then you may have a faulty control module. One other check: Sit in car with doors closed, then turn key to Position II. Is Door Open light on?

What tool was used to reset the service interval message that started this?

i do not know which brand they used. im guessing that is the culprit. i was hoping to hear that it was a settings issue that i could correct myself. im going to have to call them and get some info

Was that question directed toward swingwing? I was confused because you quoted one of my messages when asking. Looks to me like he's in a BMW though.
