Default Will HRE FF04 fit 997 NB?

Hello All,

Just pulled the trigger on a 07 997 CS and now looking for wheels. Interested in HRE FF04 for my car however they don't make the offset.
I was advised by my shop that (20 x 8.5 et 45 fronts) & (20 x 11 et 45 rears) will fit. Can anyone concur?

Thank you in advance for your time and help.

-Peter

Word to the wise, make sure your new 997 is top shape before spending on "looks" items. Lots to adress before wheels on an unknown car, especially a 911.

But do put pics when you get wheels.

Congrats on the new car and welcome.

An et45 will protrude past the front fender lip unless you run a lot of camber and/or are lowered or like that poked look, which personally I don't. IMO, an et50 on an 8.5" wide wheel is the perfect offset for a 997 and what I spec'd on my custom Forgelines. Most OEM wheels are et53 for 8.5" wide at the front. Also, 20s aren't the right size for a 997 - 19s are - both from a looks and performance perspective. I can't help you with the rear as I don't know what an 07 CW 997 is - maybe you meant a C2 and just hit the W raching for the 2. If so, that's a NB car at the rear and an et45 is a WB fitment so not the best though others have run WB wheels on NB cars - again, too much poke for my taste.

If you're looking for NB wheels with proper fitment, I have a set of forged Champion RS171s for sale in the Marketplace that also use an 11.5" wide rear to flatten out the contact patch and let you properly run a 305 width tire. Hees' the link to the ad - https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1122942

They can also be used on WB cars but will need spacers in the rear.

I like flush, but under the car, like this.

thank you for such a detailed response. Indeed I purchased a 997 CS. I appreciate your feedback and your wheel fitment looks great. The pictures helped put things into perspective. I am highly considering 19s vs 20s. The car will be lowered on h&r springs along with the new wheels.

Good afternoon Peter- unfortunately, the information you've been given is correct. HRE's FF04 wheels do not have an acceptable fitment for your 997 narrow body.

You do have the HRE FF01 available, though: 20" x 8.5" et 50 front, 20" x 11" et60 rear. Check out this link for a gallery of what those would look like on your car.
