The 20s fill the wheel well so much better plus you have pasm like me - no need to lower to look dialed.
Pretty confident the fellas that say no to 20s are of the older crowd. Its just not in their nature.

Those front rims are one decent sized and unexpected pot hole away from taking a serious hit that would likely bend/crack it beyond use. Good luck in that never happening.

Interesting. Its amazing that's never happened to me considering I'm so dumb to upsize wheels for the last 20 years. Same rhetoric, nothing new. I don't let fear rule everything around me.

Same here. I have 18s in the winter and 19s in the summer. I like the 18s better to be honest. I would expect 20s to be miserable here. Louder on chipseal and certain concrete cuts. Brutal on potholes and expansion seams. On stock PASM suspension

I didn't call you dumb, nor was my post rhetoric. I simply made an observation on your front rims and how you could easily damage one on a large pot hole. I even closed my comment with "good luck in that never happening".

Maybe rhetoric is wrong word, how about 'stock wheel size discourse'. When you insert your unsolicited opinion about people's decisions - don't be surprised if they clap back.

"Good luck in that never happening" Cut the crap. Its more likely you're not genuinely concerned for me but would rather see yourself proven right at my expense.

I think your 20s look great on your car, and love the color of your 997 (aqua blue?). I chose not to go to 20s, however, simply due to where I live (in NY/NJ) area, there are tons of bad roads with potholes during the winter months due to all the salt thrown. On my daily driver Audi A4, I’ve hit a pothole and had full blowouts. A 20” wheel would be bent in no time, and my pal with 20s FIKSEs on his 997S had to be repaired due to bending.

If you live in an area with good roads, I think the 20s are fine. For me, I just want as much wheel protection I can get given our cars have no spare wheel.

I'll echo most of the comments and say that 19's are probably my choice as well. They fill the wheel well out without looking too big. Although T4S's car looks great on 20s

Here's another 19" example, my 997.2 on Work Meister S1 3 piece wheels

It really does come down to personal preference on what looks best. The ride comfort difference between the two is negligible. With the FF01's the 19's weight 1.5 lbs less than the 20's up front while the rears weigh the same.

Now is the time to buy as we have them for 25% off until the end of this month. Both sizes are in very low stock.

Default Want to swap wheels?

If you decide to stay with 19’s, I would propose a trade. My turbo wheels from my 2009 997.2 4S for your Carrera 2’s. I will include an additional set of center caps with colored Porsche crest as well. Brand new Michelin Pilot Supersport Tires (installed 8/22/19). If not interested in trade, would you sell (just wheels)?

I also have another set of center caps with the colored Porsche crest that I would include.
