What is the recommendation for engine mounts? I don’t want to increase NVH significantly and was really thinking of Corteco as an OEM replacement, but am interested in opinions/other options.
I am at 50k and have sorta felt like it might be time to swap in some new mounts.
Corteco is an OEM supplier to Porsche. You can buy the whole replacement kit from FCP Euro for price of one Genuine Porsche mount. Easy decision in my opinion.

I have a credit from ECS tuning so I was thinking of going with them, they are slightly more than the $286. I can get Rein even cheaper, but haven’t seen seen too many reviews on Rein. From what I find it seems they are a distributor and the mounts are likely Corteco, but have not confirmed for sure.
I just ordered RSS semi solids and may put them in tomorrow if they show up. I’ll report back on NVH, as I’m curious what the result will be.
Yes please report back - inquiring minds want to know! I know a few other 'Listers have reported that they thought the increase in NVH with the RSS SS mounts was fairly negligible
Yes let us know! I will hold off on buying anything until I hear back. I don’t mind a bit more NVH, but I don’t want it to result in the car not feeling as smooth through the power band. That is what it feels like now, it just doesn’t feel as smooth and solid as it did, which makes me feel like it might be the mounts.
Well hell. Searched RSS and noticed I could get them from Amazon by tomorrow if I ordered today and just couldn’t resist. I will post my thoughts when I get them installed.

I love my RSS motor mounts. I was concerned about vibration and there is a little more, but only at idle and you can barely tell. I would totally do it again. The shifting has become a whole lot more crisp.
I got the RSS motor mounts this afternoon thanks to amazon prime.
This morning I took a drive to Livermore down Mines rd to get a baseline before the RSS mounts. This is also the 1st time down this this road with the DSC controller on my car with Eibach springs. I’ve had the DSC controller about 3 weeks driving in normal conditions where I’ve noticed it’s smoother overall. The DSC really sines on tight curvy roads. So much more control, balance, and grip in corners and stability in straights. Feels like the car has been transformed, impressive. Car has more capability than I, where as before It felt like I was hitting some of the limits. Can’t wait to get back out there.
Back to the RSS mounts. Installed and went on a drive through city and residential streets, I can notice some new sounds, tones, and rumbling under certain RPMs and throttle position. BUT, I have to pay attention to notice it. It’s subtle difference in NVH. I can hear a winding down sound after revving to 6k, and some gruntness when taking off from a start. I was looking for more sportiness and generally that’s what it’s done. Nothing extreme at all.
In terms of driving feel I can’t notice much yet. Maybe it feels more tight and firm, but hard to judge on this drive. I’ll see if there is a improvement in what already felt good on my next drive in the twisties. So far so good 👍🏼
100% recommend the RSS mounts! They really made the car feel much more connected. The added vibration was very minimal and actually had less vibration and felt smoother at cruising speeds. Throttle response was noticeably better and the car seemed much more together and in unison over bumps.
Looking at the old mounts it isn’t surprising it is that different. They were mostly rubber and could be flexed by hand very easily. After looking at them I would say engine mounts on these cars are a 50k mike wear item and very worth while going with an upgraded mount vs OEM.

Mines has got to be a great test for the DSC controller with the combination of different types of corners and uneven/broken pavement. I'd imagine that the mounts will be a nice addition as well for keeping the back end under control.
