Default Shipping seats

I've searched and there's mention of wardrobe boxes but all the ones I've seen at 24"x24"X some height. The issue with the manual sports seats is that lever under the seat. It goes out to about 27". I had a seat previously shipped to me where that bent. Would like to avoid.

What boxes have you used or have received?

Take the seat apart then ship it.

Boxes in the photo background. Foam sheets all around, 1 box per seat. Seat itself wrapped in plastic wrap, then bubble wrap. UPS Ground.

Or I suppose you could ship freight and strap them to a pallet.

I have done this twice. It's not fun.

I built a box from 1/2 inch plywood. Screw one seat to the bottom, the other to the top so they fit into the same box. Ship them FedEx freight. It is expensive shipping, but it gets there safe.

Selling and shipping seats is a pain in the butt...

Don't take it apart. If you are not the one who took it apart, it's hard to put it back together right.

Was probably 6 inches wider/taller than the seat itself. Don't have the exact dimensions.
