997.2 GTS Bumper Conversion Complete!
Hello. I've always loved the look of the 997 GTS. Unfortunately, when I was buying my car 5 years ago, the GTS was about $20K more expensive than a Carrera S and out of my price range. Since then, I've made little mods to emulate the GTS theme on my car. I was fortunate enough to find a used GTS bumper on eBay for $400 shipped. It had some damage, but I was able to get it repaired. At $1620 all in, I was able to get the new bumper installed and wrapped in paint protection film. Here are all the parts you need to complete the project (assuming you already have a 997.2)
Here's a video I made covering the project. Let me know what you guys think!
- 997.2 Aero Bumper - 99750554103 ($400)
- Center retaining frame - N/A, reuse existing one from 997.2 bumper
- Left retaining frame (aka grill) - 997-505-985-01-01C ($90)
- Right retaining frame (aka grill) - 997-505-986-01-01C ($90)
- GTS front spoiler - 997-505-983-05 ($260 used)
- Shout out to @qikqbn7 for selling me his old lip!

Looks awesome DC2000 ! I always like the time and care you put into your videos. Very informative and the project turned out really great. I may be biased, but I really love the look of the GTS sport design bumpers. Great work!

WOW, great find. I have never been a Huge fan of the bumper on the 997.1, but I was a big fan of the GT3 version. So i bought one and did the conversion. I looked and looked and looked for a used one, but could never find one unless it was totally destroyed. All OEM parts, but me doing all the work (besides the prep and paint) and it costed me well over $3,000. But overall, I am very happy with the way it turned out. Next project is a 997.2 GT3 rear wing.
