Ride Height Measurements

Ride Height Measurements
I’ve installed BR Racing coilovers and need to dial in a new ride height. Anyone have any reccos?
I’m running 18” wheels and just want to bring it down a bit from stock, I’d rather not scrape too much.
I made the coilover decision after I already had the car up in jack stands so I never measured a base line height.
I figure I’ll make my measurement from the car’s jack points down to the ground?

Hey there - I'm looking up my notes from when I intalled Eibachs on my Base C2. Unfortunately I can't understand my own writing. I think this is what i had:
Rim to Fender
Rim to Fender
- Front Wheel Gap: Before 4 1/4” , After 3 5/8”
- Rear Wheel Gap: Before 5” , After 4”

Thanks! Any pics of the result?

I'm anxiously awaiting getting my car back from my indy. I hope I get the same stance/height as your car. IMO it looks perfect.

Just keep in mind that it takes a good 6 months or so to "settle" in. Meaning, the springs will compress even a little bit further after a few months. With my Eibachs Pro-Kit the car definitely settled over time and at first I thought maybe I wanted the rear to be slightly lower. Then after a few months it hit just the right spot and looks perfect to me now. The correct tire size and wheel offsets also make a huge difference in the over all look and stance. Michelin Sport 4S look great in combo with the eibach pro-kit. The side wall design and how the tire transitions from sidewall to flat tread is just about perfect in my opinion. Post pics when done!!

Oh yeah... while you are in there.... Replace those front rubber strut mounts at the top of the spring! They take a lot of abuse and it is important to put some fresh ones in there if you are doing springs and already have a lot of miles on your car. Just my humble opinion...

Don't know how you did that but that's easily the best stance I've seen on a 997 base car. They sit real tall from the factory and Eibachs typically don't quiet get the job done. But I believe what I see and can only say very well done. Spacers? Looks like it but can't be sure. Oh....and those orange side markers ?..
