997.2 C4S rear decklid reflector

My reflector is bowed out in the center as if it’s too long. The two ends are tight against the deck lid but I am able to push the center in approximately a quarter inch before it touches the deck lid. Is there a way to pull the center of the reflector in against the deck lid and tighten it?

Long story, cut short - bought new reflector, carefully sealed it with silicone, fitted it, car was left out in the rain, reflector got full of water, removed reflector, stood it in boiler room for 2 weeks, it still has moisture in it.
How did you dry yours out? I am considering drilling some tiny holes along the bottom edge and putting it back in the boiler room upside down. I am going to wrap it in clear vinyl, but obviously need it 100% dry first.
Thanks.

Mine has cracked at the corners so I wrapped it in gloss black suntek but the problem is my car is white. It sucks the thing is so expense or else I would buy a new one. I'll probably just replace the whole decklid with one from a base or S model. 1200 for a reflector is absurd. I heard either the guys from db or ma carbon can make a red one for a little less but still around 900-1000 or so. Some one did it here, it looked good.

Some follow up information for anyone with this problem. I managed to dry out my reflector. I found that the rubber seal running along the upper edge, that is plastic welded or bonded to the top of the reflector was not bonded in places. I managed to peel back the front leading edge enough to prop matches in every 2 inches to open up gaps between the rubber and the reflector. I did this all the way along and put the reflector in our boiler room. It took about 2 weeks to dry out completely.
Once dry, I glued the rubber seal back to the reflector where it had come away. I then used windscreen sealant (permanently flexible, never goes hard) and a small plastic interior trim fitters spatula to work small amounts of this in between the rubber seal and the reflector, all the way along and around the two ends.
On the reverse I used Sikaflex silicone sealant to make a seal on the three sides (left, right, bottom) where the reflector meets the black backing plastic. I continued the sealant along the top, sealing over the join between the rubber seal and the black backing.
So far, so good… keeping my fingers crossed though.

I am not sure how to remedy this problem, because every time we weld a tail light assembly and there is a leak present, part is considered scrap. There is no way of repairing a leaky lens assembly and expecting it to pass a 3-5 psi pressure test that OEMs require.

Hi everyone,
I tried to remove mine to attempt to dry it but I unfortunately broke the piece in the middle during the process, the double sided tape at the bottom was stronger than expected.
The part is original and production date is 2008 the plastic seems to have become a bit less flexible.
Sadly I am now condemned to the 1'500$ expense.
That said looking at the part makes me think that a fix would have been hard, the top joint is quite dry and any attempt would have made thing worse.
I hope my experience will help someone.
Cheers,
K

I bought a decklid from a carrera S shipped for 500. Gonna have it painted. I liked the reflector but I aint paying it. Im keeping my car for the long haul, last thing I want to do is deal with it again in 10-15 years when it's 2.5k for the same part.

Posting in this thread...
I've got a 997.2 decklid with all the pieces attached.
Realizing how many are painting over their reflector, I'd love to offer up mine as a trade:
