Hey guys, I’ve detected a leak coming from the bottom of the engine on my 997.2. It’s coming out of a 8mm star bolt head. Attached to it is a thick black hose or flange. I cannot detect what this is. Looks like a pump of some sort but I may be wrong. It’s leaking about 10-12 drops per minute so I would like to know ASAP so that I can make an appointment with an indy shop.

Can anyone tell me what is leaking? Attached are a couple of pictures.

The car is a 2009 997.2 6MT.

Looks like a coolant hose leaking.

Definitely coolant. The bottom of a 9A1 looks foreign to me but seems like a painless repair of the hose, gasket, water pump or all three.

The pink fluid is Porsche coolant as TheBruce says, so it's one of those things he mentioned.

Guess I could have just said "+1". LOL.
