Wheel offset question
Just double checking my math. Found a set of 19's I like for my carrera 4.
OEM rear offset is 51
Wheels I like have a rear offset of 65
If I add a 10mm spacer I will be at a 55mm offset, correct
Sorry for the dumb question. I did it online with the calculator and in my head, but I've done this before only to find out I was wrong

Yes the math is correct, adding a spacer decreases the offset.
But you need to consider wheel widths in addition to offsets when comparing two sets of wheels. If the widths are the same then it's simple math like you describe. But if one set is 11" wide and another is 12" wide than there is another 1" somewhere that needs to be taken into account. Calculators like willtheyfit.com are helpful in these situations.
