I wrapped the backs of my hardbacks with black gloss vinyl to match my body. Huge PITA - but less of a pain than disassembling your seats and repainting them.
You'll need to have a huge sheet, you'll need to constantly heat it to stretch it to fit the contours and then trim around the edges. Ideally you have two people to do it.
It's quite a bit of work. I considered doing it on mine but then found out you need to remove the seats then completely disassemble them on top of that.
How long ago did you do it and how has it stood up? I've read you have to be really careful with the heat gun close to the leather. Do you have side air bags and did you wrap them separate?
The 997 manual adaptive seats I put into my 928 Spyder I had wrapped in CF vinyl, probably 3 years ago. They're holding up just fine and look very cool. Airbags aren't connected in my car since it's a 79, but he did cuts around the side bag pods to make the vinyl look better. I wipe 303 protectant on them when detailing the interior.
