No heated steering wheel in 997.2 for US market??
noticed this winter that my steering wheel does not have heating! I looked everywhere underneath the steering wheel and there is no button. Is this yet another fact about US market Carreras? Or did my previous owner exclude this “option”?
Thanks
Thanks

I know this much (or at least think I know this) but it is not possible to get a heated steering wheel with the PDK paddles. The original button wheels can be heated as an option.
Heated steering wheel seems silly until you've used one. They're great.

The heated steering wheel is a part of the multi function wheel with shift buttons rather than paddles. I've got heating on my USA 2010 C4S PDK. It is nice to have, especially with arthritic knuckles!!!
I recall a kit to convert the buttons to paddles but I'm in that minority that prefers the buttons.

I live outside the US and bought a used 2009 997.2 C2S that was made for US market. Below are what I know make the US market Carreras different from European:
- yellow side markers
- rear bumper guards on each side of license plate
- no automatic “folding” of side mirrors
The third one is the only thing that bugs me because where I live (Seoul, Korea) the parking spaces are generally very compact.
However I also noticed this winter that my steering wheel does not have heating! I looked everywhere underneath the steering wheel and there is no button. Is this yet another fact about US market Carreras? Or did my previous owner exclude this “option”?

It was an option (#345). Expand the Standalone Options menu to see everything that was available on MY2009 C2S US market cars: https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/pors...rrera-s-coupe/

There's a small button on the backside of the steering wheel at the bottom of the T piece. When you turn it on, there is a light that comes on the dash indicating it's on.

at the lowest part of the wheel, on the side nearest the dash are a couple of dimples that you can feel. Push one or the other dimple and you should get a message that says you have turned the heated wheel on or off

Thanks a lot, guys! It's kind of late... I will be selling the car soon. I never drove it when it was cold enough to need a heated steering wheel. I'll have to try it once before it's gone.
