Default Need Help Identifying 997.1 PCM Adapter

Hello, I don't see the post from earlier, I hope this isn't a repost. I found an adapter in my 2008 997s in the glove compartment I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out what it is. It appears to go to the PCM.

Take a pic. Could be a Dension unit to stream bluetooth and have an iPod plug in.

Hi Kellen, the cable number comes up as a Chinglung E238846 Serial Adapter Communication Cable, here are some pics. Looks like it was professionally done, clean install.
Thanks,
Chuck

I would hook up an iPod. Then try to play through it. Can google Dension and other iPod adopters that work in the first gen 997. As far as I know there weren't that many.

Any chance you could take a pic of the box that cable leads to?

Hi I don't have an iPod but I did do some more research and I think that is what it was, so I need to try a 30 pin adapter to lightning adapter. It looks like they had the cd changer swapped out for the ipod install. I talked to NAV-TV yesterday and that's how they setup a usb adapter for the PCM and the PCM shows iPod not found when I switch through the PCM options. Funny, this car was a 3rd car, only 25000 miles on it, basically new, so now I'm driving it all the time and discovering new stuff all the time. I used to have a 2009 997S which had aux, etc and it doesn't have these issues. Thanks for the help, I'll try an adapter and see if that works.
