Default Suspension noise

2008 997 with PASM. 82,000 miles.

I have a cluncking sound emanating from the front driver suspension since 60k miles. The strut mounts were replaced at 60k miles and the sound went away for about 10k miles. Sounds like a worn ball joint. I had the dealer inspect it and they suggested 4 new struts. I then took it a Porsche indy shop and the mechanic said there was nothing wrong other than it is an 82,000 mile suspension. If PASM is activated the suspension sound becomes worse. The sound goes away when it is cold (winter season in NYC area) but sound gets worse in the summer especially hitting potholes.

I thought if it is struts then the sound should go away when it is summer due to the fluids in the chambers being less viscous and vice versa during winter. No signs of fluid leak in the strut housing. Nothing feels loose regarding suspension.

Any advice?
