Need a little help with airbag codes 8037 8038 after steering wheel removal.
Hey guys,
Have a buddy's 08 GT3RS here and he has an airbag light on after recently having a shop remove his steering wheel for re-upholstery of the leather. I have the pro version of the Durametric plugged into the car and it is pulling up codes:
8037 Driver's front airbag stage 1 below lower limit
and
8038 Driver's front airbag stage 2 below lower limit
I reset codes and they immediately come on again. I also popped driver's airbag out to double check connections and they seem fine. The Durametric can read resistances of the airbag stages and they both read at about 2.5Ohms.
I'm stumped, anyone have similar experience?
Thanks

Immediate update lol, there are two small plastic tabs on the green and yellow connectors behind the airbag, if they are not pushed down all the way they will cause the above problem. Shop forgot to push them in and I missed it on a quick inspection. After pushing tabs in and clearing codes again, airbag light remained off. Problem solved.
