Default New 997 owner here

I traded in my 07 Cayman S for an 06 C4 last week. 52k miles, Arctic Silver, black full leather, manual, Fabspeed intake and Supercup exhaust. I've always loved widebody 911's, and thought maybe I'd eventually find a good deal on a GTS. Those have understandably held up in value, and when this car came up locally, I gave up on my Cayman after about 5 great years.

There's clearly more power than the Cayman, but the weight difference is noticeable. The Fabspeed sounds amazing, and the full leather is a huge step up from all the plastic in my Cayman. I have a black painted center console on the way from Bumperplugs (they did my Meteor Gray console in my Cayman), Mr 12 Volt bluetooth kit, and will probably have the steering wheel rewrapped by Dallas. In the meantime, I plasti-dipped the yellowed and cracked stone guards.

Thanks in advance for all the great info here!

Welcome! Love the wheels
If you want to lower your car I have been very happy with H&R springs - Lowers car 1" and you can still use the PASM functions.
All the best

Congrats! Your C4 looks great. Does the Fabspeed intake make it sound like an angry beast at 5500rpm or so? My C2 sure does.

Welcome to 997. You and I will have to report back here how Cayman vs 997 driving experience as both of us traded our Cayman S to 997.

Looks great. That car sounds mean I’m sure. You will absolutely love the steering wheel upgrade if you go in that direction. Donald Le is great to work with at Dallas Custom Steering Wheel.
