Default 997.2 GTS Manual price check...

Hey all,

Sold my air cooled and looking to get into a 997 GTS. A friend of a friend has a 2011 GTS with a 6 speed that he is willing to sell. 40k miles. What do you think a fair price for both parties is? Tried looking online but there are like 10 or sale in the whole country across all search sites and all have low miles.

Thanks,
J

*meant to type 997.2 GTS not .1

Its ok. Since the GTS only came for .2 then saying 997 GTS indicates it is a .2.

I wouldn't expect to pay less than 63-65k for a good condition 997 GTS manual or PDK makes no difference.

I can't find one listed for under $90k!!! Granted they have 15k miles or less but still. Can you really get into a manual GTS for 63-65k? Don't get me wrong I'd buy this car in a heartbeat for that, but I have a feeling the guy will laugh in my face!

I'd say it would depend heavily on the equipment in the car. And as you stated you can't find a price on one of these cars with 40k miles. My statement was "I wouldn't expect to pay less than 63k-65k" meaning thats the minimum, not average going rate. Also if this is a friend or friend of a friend I have no idea what your pricing would look like. Some folks make deals for this kind of thing. Again.. the number I gave was a minimum for what I'd expect.

I wouldn't expect a 40k mile GTS to sell for 75k USD. What cars are advertised for and what they sell for are two completely different things.

Somewhere in the $70-80k range seems fair.

Manual will sell for more than PDK all else being equal.
The pricing gap is widening between pristine GTSs and those showing their age.
All said, this is a good range for a no-stories, 40k mile GTS with documented maintenance and very good to excellent paint quality.
Probably on the low end for 40k and high end for 30k. Not really much difference until you start getting into 60k and 70k miles.

Sandwedge here may still be selling his. It's a PDK though. Has quality upgrades like Forgeline wheels and carbon buckets. I think mileage is in the low 60s.

I think it is a dynamite looking GTS. The price is the price your will likely struggle to remember how much you paid for it after a couple of months of ownership. I have the same seats and although they are not as supportive and comfortable as the more adjustable sport comfort seats the cooling function in them is fantastic. I have causally looked since I purchased my car in 12 for a set of sport comfort seats and have yet to find a set that has the cooling option and I would be very hard pressed to give up the cooling option
