Default 2007 C4S Cab - help on cost

Please help me validate the cost of this high mileage (117,000) C4S Cab.

I had a PPI done at Porsche dealership which uncovered the following:
- Rear Main Seal, $2050 (costs are from the dealer)
- Rear Shocks, leaking; $2100
- Misc items (cargo switch, alignment...) about $1,000
- Tires mismatched - no cost provided.

Dealer asking $29,500 (not flexable, even after seeing PPI). I’ve offer $25,000.

I like the options/car and want a 997 C4S (Triple Black) and as we all know when looking for used (with specific options) your limited.
The miles don’t scare me...and I know it’s worth what someone will play for it...

What does this community feel is a fair cost?

thanks
Sonny

Mismatched tires speaks volumes about the level of care this car received IMHO.

I agree to a point. Considering it seems the fronts seem to outlast the rears 2 or 3 to 1. I'd say it depends on the mis- match. If they're all same brand and rating, but N- spec on one end, non N- spec on the other, I wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes you need tires now, and non N- spec may be all that's available.

Different brands and ratings is another story and to me definitely speaks to a lack of care.

Tires are Dunlop and Hankook - so most likely the rears wearing out faster thing.
I’m guessing Dunlops are cheaper than Honkook as PO installed Dunlops in the rear.

Some nice options on that car: Sport seats, sports exhaust, Carrera sport wheels, leather vents, alumalook interior and gauge trims, turbo shift ****, ... and I think even the leather headlight & ignition surrounds? I don't see any paint flaking there, and the image seems to have texture to it. A nice spec.

Actually Dunlop tires are usually a good bit more expensive than Hankook and maybe more than some Bstones and Mich. I don't think that's a big deal. At that mileage maybe a good time to get some coilovers put on all around and take care of that for many years and have the upgrade. Call an Indy for real price on RMS.

I just looked at the ad. That is a nicely optioned Cab.

High mi car and mismatched tires are common.

Wearables are starting to eat you cost cutting begins.

Resell this car down the road will be tough. But you could drive it to 250k with only oil, tires and brakes.

If your a gambler go for it.

Seems pretty appropriately priced. Maybe try for a grand or two off, but its a C4S cab, highly optioned.

Find a good independent mechanic and save some money.

$30K is fair from a dealer. They have to make money too. If you can get some repair concessions, that would be good.
As for the comments on mismatched tires, total BS. The rear tires on my car wore out twice as fast as the front. I went to get matching tires for the rear and the manufacturers have stopped making that size. I am left with buying two new rear tires of similar designs and performance. I am OK with that.

I bought a brand new BMW M3 in 1988 delivered in Europe. I drove all over Europe at 140 mph. I got it home to the states and found that one tire was of a different brand than the other three. The dealer changed it for me, but I noticed ZERO performance difference at 140 mph.

There is a lot of snootiness on this site.

I would not be concerned with the overrev report. Those are actually most likely bogus datapoints in range 4-6.
