It's going to pass me by Mano. Bidding kind of went wild after the seller posted the engine number which seems to confirm it has the larger IMS bearing. Bottom-feeding is not a good strategy in this environment, despite my win last time.

Street Rod could get #8 if the bidders continue at this pace tomorrow. We'll see. Certainly over $42k would be my guess. I'm almost passed up. I figured the 06 and S Cab might keep it down, but I think the color and manual and coming weather are driving it up.
This is really a nice car with broad appeal, so I guess that's why there is a whole gaggle of sharks circling.
If you don't want to track your car and don't need the rear seats, a 6MT C2S vert is close to perfection.
It sure took off, was hoping the statement didn’t know if clutch and ims replaced would hold to my guess, but noooo, the money goes wild
In my opinion that was an inflammatory typical BaT trolling question, especially with the quantifier something about the mileage due for that. No 997 should need a new clutch at 35k mileage unless it was abused. And to try and lump that in as a good point in time to do the clutch to put the onus on the current owner to replace the IMS is misleading, again, in my opinion.

I am always surprised when I see a car with less than 60k miles having had a clutch replacement. That would seem to be evidence of not knowing how to properly shift.

Reposting the guesses for easy access during the last two hours of this auction: Bid is at $42,500 with 2 hrs 32 minutes to go. This could easily surpass the highest guess below!
Guesses:
$37,500 - tinroof
$37,750 - ManoTexas
$38,000 - Nein Elf
$38,500 - boisenelson
$39,000 - Big Swole
$39,500 - Wolfsburgde $39,750 - 3rdpedal
$40,000 - Bloose993tt
$40,250 - JVinPortland
$40,500 - Powderjunkie
$41,000 - floatingfish $41,250 - groovzilla
$41,500 - kindheitstraum (Dropped me when posting his guess---should we disqualify per the rules?)
$41,750 - southbay
$42,000 - jimfuerst
$42,500 - Snakesm13
$42,750 - hatchetf15
$43,000 - ilovemaui
$43,250 - roadie13
$43,500 - 8KaboveMSL
$44,000 - linderpat
$45,000 - GPappy
$46,000 - street rod
I think it was, I expected $38-41k was going to win. But recent 997 auctions seem to indicate shortage of supply and willing buyers are driving prices up. Not good for would be buyers, great for current sellers.
Curious if Street Rod will win as the top guess or if sanity will prevail and the auction will end without too much more bidding. If I had to guess as of now, I expect it to finish at $45,500-$48,000.
