Wish I had looked at the photos closer for this one before bidding I just looked at some of the details. There is an interesting thread on this car in the Turbo forum: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turb...auction-2.html
Somone pointed out it looks like this car had a potential coolant leak.

Is This Convertible Cayenne A Steal, Or A Returnless Investment?
Rough crowd in the comments. The underside certainly isn't showroom clean but that looks like ordinary surface corrosion for a car that was driven in winter at all in a place that salts the roads. If this sells for $80k it's a bargain these days.
I respectfully disagree about the corrosion being acceptable for a claimed “garage queen” with 8,000 claimed miles. My brand new ‘85 Saab spent 2 years parked outdoors in Germany and driven 12,000 miles, with only a weekly underbody spray, and my exhaust system looked like the previous 997 turbo, or better. No DME for a near-six-figure car? Snippy seller not helping matters.
The car is worth exactly 115,500 and all the people dissing it will cost me my winning bid! All i wanted for Xmas was to see my name in purple with = 2 next to it. Now I’m going to get empty box, argggghhhh.
