I only see one 997 on BAT right now. If something more interesting doesn't show up by tomorrow I'll go with that one.

 

Anyone else catch the bodywork drama that might be unfolding in the comments? Wonder if this sale gets pulled too.

 

Interesting, someone just disclosed accident damage. I demand a re-count! It's no more than a $40.5 car after all

"The seller reports that dents have been removed under current ownership."

Someone coming in late with some bad vibes for some reason.

 

Sounding like it's more than "dents." "Significant work to fix a crunched fender flare..." Allegedly posted by the owner in a body shop review.

Congrats Torch! Wow that car got sold for cheap, The previous car 997.1 C4S was sold for over $48k and this 997.2 C4 for only 42k? There must have been some bad vibes or story to the car at this price.

That 2011 C4 Description is a little disturbing to me and seems ****-poor on BAT's part.
The way in which BAT wrote the description and not disclosing the the previous "dents being removed" in the same paragraph as the "Carfax being clean" and sort of burying the mention of dent damage under the next photo at end of that paragraph seems odd. I actually read over it and didn't notice it until auction was over but didn't follow auction comments during auction.

Any car with "Clean Carfax" is important to buyers especially when highlighted in a description. If there's any sort of damage it needs to be explained in detail with more than 5 words and there was no mention of previous fender damage.
And also no mention of the actual dents and other damage (damage to fender that was repaired) which seller wrote and was found/sourced on various Facebook pages and sellers comment on Body Shop webpage that were revealed by BAT Members (not described in decription by BAT) after the fact in the BAT comments seems like bad business to me.

If there is any sort of damage, especially with a car that has clean Carfax that BAT is promoting, I would think there would be more attention paid to revealing any damage and being more in depth and accurate about not only acknowledging it but describing it in detail.
Having sold 2 vehicles on BAT and going through the very specific and detailed questions the BAT staff ask and want described, this 2011 C4 description seems like a failure on BAT's part.

BTW nice to see linderpat making friends w/other BAT members. Linderpat have you invited Turbo Tommy dude over to your mom's basement for dinner yet?

I don't love it. Triple black, again there is a lot of rust -- taking off those bypass pipes is going to be no fun.
Trunk looks like they were transporting angry cats in it.
Nothing about IMS being done.
Cheesy video, and I could swear on startup there is smoke blowing out one side, not the other. Check it out -- I'll be surprised if someone doesn't bring up bore-scoring.

Torch there's no doing anything to IMS bearing in a 2006. And IMO those Fabspeed exhaust pipes look pretty normal for cold climate car.
I think Manual Trans + Lower miles + Clean Carfax + some nice options like H&R's and Fabspeed exhaust will give this one a bit of bump so I'm going $31,250
