If you search autotrader for a 2011 911 with black exterior, there is an almost identical car (turbo II wheels and standard white gauges) and similar 31K mileage for $49,800 which would be equal to about a $47,500 bid on BAT if you’re interested in a car like that.

I love the wheels (that extra 0.5" of width makes the car sit just right). Previous 2011 Carrera S have gone for $58,200 (17k mile), RNM at $42,500 (61k mile), and $59,000 (33k mile 4S). This one is at 30k miles so I reckon it goes pretty strong.

Really? $3 more than my guess? Shouldnt there be some limit as to how much more than someone's bid you have to go? Can I change my guess to $55,003?

 

Pretty sure there was agreement a week or 2 ago that $250 spread was minimum? This opens up the question of non-250 increments, because it enables a wiser bidder to capture more than 250 spread. For example,

50,500
50,999
locks in a $499 window: no one can bid between these.

Whereas
50,500
51,000
has a 250 up/down window at 50,750.

This a more nuanced issue than bidding $3 more than someone, which is not in the spirit of things.

 

There really should be the $250 minimum (I raised the issue last week and early on in this thread). Don't need increments beyond that IMO, just at least $250 between. Otherwise, the "fun" factor can drop off for those who get jammed by it.

 

Read your guess as 54497. I’ll change it. I don’t see a need for a minimum amount between bids, I like the price is right rules.
