-That engine has bad tick
-Engine # doesn't match so the "super" engine isn't original to the car which I believe effects value more than anything
-funky restoration move by removing over rider bars and filling holes in bumper and body.
-many parts not original to car such as shine up license light, rear reflectors not glass but repro plastic - seller would not answer my questions regarding repro parts
-color butt ugly - if they were going to change it they should have gone with silver - that blue is terrible
-wrong hardware used on door panels and all dash ***** are repro in black and should be tan
-sloppy welding of replacement battery box metal and floor pans
Thats why I believe it isn't a $90K car and in $70's - lots of people buy out of emotion but BAT bidders are smarter than most so low guessers sub $70K might be right on this one. We shall see.
Times like this I miss my 1959 356 Super Sunroof - I did well when I sold it 7 years ago but imagine the $$ I could get for it today
It was true numbers matching Super Sunroof with European Spec which did not have overider bars.
**Only non-correct item was the black leather interior - Original was red.

I like how it’s an oddball resto...very quirky choices like Groov mentions. Really tough to peg a price! But someone could put $20k into it, resolving some of the glaring mismatches and quality control. Make it a pretty sweet, near $100,000 car.
