Many details missing here. Did you approach them first or was your car listed somewhere to sell and they spotted it? Was there a reason you decided to sell to them as no buyers elsewhere or wanted convenience and quick payment? Also, do you live in a state affording the benefit of trading in for sales tax netting on next car?

I will maintain my position - Jacky is an ABSOLUTE LIAR based on my dealings. He sent a text message stating that "to be clear" the car "he" was buying from me was for personal use (I guess someone else's personal use, just not his) when it was sold within weeks of their possession. To me, that means zero credibility - period. Their responses on my Google review in a feeble attempt to defend this are laughable with the text evidence I have.

I thought this a pretty fair offer for exactly zero work on their part. Boy, was I wrong.

RAC told me that they wouldn't let me PPI with anyone that wasn't on their "approved list," of which none of the shops with good reputations on Rennlist appeared, and I'd need to put $5,000 down (NON-REFUNDABLE) for the privilege of having ANY shop PPI the car. Further, they were planning on listing it for 25% over their total cost, and "already had a list a mile long" ...for a car that hadn't even made it into their inventory, yet. But, the salesman graciously continued, if I put that $5,000 down...

Needless to say, RAC are a bunch of scumbags and they have permanently earned my ire and will never see a dime of mine, I don't care what the circumstances are. Reputation is everything, and they have earned their black mark in my book forever.
This sounds right in line with the dealings many of us have seen. Evidently the "list a mile long" exists only at their place and no where else - BS.
Asking for a 5k non-refundable deposit for some alleged privilege is pompous and arrogant. There are plenty of other places from which to chose. In fact, I would much rather deal with an enthusiast owner directly and live with some issues that are disclosed than an outfit who treats cars just like any commodity.

I listed the car on PCA and he reached out with a fair offer within 30m of that post.. I agreed on the price - then we waited 6 weeks for title to arrive. In that time I added 1k+ miles to the odometer and sent the car off last week.. It's already listed on the RAC site even though I am sure it to be still in transit. It's a perfect example of a 997.2 turbo if anyone is interested.

My guess is that he drives the car until it sells. Much like I did.

Well, 3.5 years fast forward, I had an AWESOME experience with RAC and with their Team! Sorry to hear about unfavorable experiences above.

RAC Performance (https://racperformance.com/) is awesome.
1) Super responsive (Solomon)
2) Very experienced and knowledgeable
3) Up front, clear about what is needed and what is not
4) Offer beyond Car Sales and Maintenance/service. They can fix your bad door panels, they can recondition your steering wheel, etc. But they do not do any Audio/Video stuff (Carplay or backup camera)
5) Not pushy at all, do it on your terms, but not afraid to suggest things

They did my 40k mile service on my 991.1 + a few other things (gaskets replacements, weather stripping, installing grill protection, drive belt), very fair price, all done within the same day!

Oh, and their car inventory is insane! Especially those two up front (GT2 RS and GT3 RS)!
