Sad to see. Glad it was parked at least and you were not hurt.

In light of this thread, I have inquired with GEICO about an agreed policy on my car. They do not offer this. Can someone provide a few places to call for this besides Hagerty?

Hard to tell from the photo, but at first thought, it didn't look that bad of damage. I'm surprised the engine block got cracked from this hit. The driver much have been driving very fast to push a parked car that far even over the bump stop. Sorry to you're having to go through this. I've become very sentimental to my car and can't imagine having to go through the pains of dealing with insurance companies in hopes to recover enough money to replace it with something suitable. I personally have a lot of money invested in preventive maintenance that insurance companies don't have a clue about.

Sorry to see that. Sorry to ask under that circumstances, but which wheels are these?

Plus, it was shoved hard enough to launch it over the curb (possible front end damage) and most defiantly damage along the underside.

OP, did the other driver split?
No he didn't run away he got stuck on the steel gate which caused most of the damage to my car. He wasn't dui either. Just a rainy day on Thanksgiving night

40K seems pretty fair, if not generous.

Oh, man, OP. So sorry to read this. I'd be gutted. Hope your insurance company does the right thing.

Hi, what insurance carrier? Why don't you go after the person who's at fault to make up for whatever amount you deem is missing?
