Story of the Porsche Black Widow
I posted this in the General Discussion but I thought I would post it here in case a lot of you don't surf that forum. …..... I saw this article today and thought to share. Imagine you are in a race and your throttle is stuck half open and you have to turn the engine off for turns and then turn it back on when your coming out of it.

The 968 has a rare and interesting quirk. A very limited number, including mine this track season, have a computer that self diagnoses a problem within itself. It then retards the rpm’s to 6000. The problem is it starts out fine until the 6 minute mark when the retard comes on. This causes you to engage the rev limiter way early. Somewhat disrupting at first. However if you turn the car off and then back on you get another 6 minutes of clear driving. So imagine going down the back straight at Watkins Glen and this happens. Do you turn your car off at 130 mph and then back on?
