Your set of the darker grey is the first one I've ever seen. Makes me think they were either an unusual option or they are silvers that have been re-sprayed. Other than that, I've only seen silver and black. Either way, love that dark grey on your black car. Similar to the color of my current wheels.

Mine came from factory with silver spokes and machined lips. Not sure what silver.

Thanks sandwedge...
I’m going to a 10’ wheel on the fronts that are being purchased from Wheel Enhancement but they don’t know anything about the color I have. I guess I’ll buy what they have and then have them color matched locally

Might be an aftermarket set. There is a set for sale in the new market place that has the same mismatched color of center cap as yours

Default Carrera Sport Wheel Colors

I have these wheels and compared mine with yours. The wheel color is the same as the center cap. I would use the cap color

Well....those guys know Porsche wheels better than most and if they're not familiar with your color, chances increase that they've been custom resprayed. So just do it again with the 10" fronts you're buying. Any reputable shop should be able to match the color of your current set with ease.

Curious, you said you were going with a 10 inch wide front Carrer Sport wheel? The Carrera Sport wheels were made in three different sizes for the 997.2 : 19x8.5 with a 57 mm offset, a 19x11.5 67mm offset and a 19x11.5 with a 51 mm offset for wide body cars. They also made a 19x9.5 for the rear for caymans with a 47mm offset. When was the 10 inch wheel made, what car was it made for and isn’t a 10 inch wheel going to be awfully wide for the front? Not trying trying to be a smarty pants just curious. Cheers

The wheels for the rear of the cayman are 10” with a 42mm offset not 9.5”/47mm. The 10” wheel will fit fine under the 997 front fenders because of the different offset from the normal 8.5” wheel. I’ve seen the 10” wheel on the front of 996GT3’s with 265/30/19 tires.

also people put 10-15mm spacers on the 8.5” fronts which changes your offset closer to the 42mm offset of the 10” wheel

Generally they are GT Silver. However, they could be ordered paint to match the car.

were you doing this to reduce understeer? How did you find the result was? Any issues with handling & comfort due to the extra unsprung weight? I have a 997.1 c4s and the front understeers badly. I’m aware driver error is what causes understeer but I prefer more of a tail slide hooning, and it’s no fun accelerating towards, and round a round about from a stand still at a junction only to have the front slide away from you.

They all have a machined lip from the factory. Mostly GT silver centers, lots of painted centers for custom options.

The all-gray ones are refinished.

work and a few other things have gotten in the way of this wheel change. First none of the Porsche factory wheel marketers could come up with this wheel in a 19x10 then the couple deals I’ve found on eBay were for a full set of 4 and refuse to sale the rears only. In hindsight I should have purchased them anyway but didn’t want four 19x8.5 siting around my already cluttered garage waiting to be sold.

when I’m back at it, if I can’t locate the factory wheels I may look into OZ forge wheels. They offer a 19x10 but the offset might be a lil fugly

Hey amiroo, that looks great. How hard is it to live with white wheels? I wash the car before it gets dirty anyway so I'm guessing for an avid detailer it's no big deal. I have carrera classics on a 4s and have been debating the idea. What I really want it a set of white .1gt3 wheels. Amazing looking car my friend.
