Project Dora: A 997 version of the 911 R!

Very interested in how you would fit the GT3RS air box onto the 997 3.8 intake/throttle. I'm having the same issue as I got a GT3 rear lid and air box but cant seem to find a way to make the air box fit so that it lines up with the rear lid intake openings.

We will do our best to provide updated photos of the modifications necessary for the fitment as we progress with the build.

Can the 991 X51 be dropped into the 997 chassis? Why not start at that point as those engines were 430hp? Then bump that up to 4.0 and you get closer to the 500 mark similiar to the BGB 4.0 X51 builds?

Cool, interested to see how it turns out and what kind of power you get.
My 997 has certain similarities: 4.0 L bore, modded heads, ipd comp plenum, GT3 TB, x51 headers, AWE cats. Havent dynod it yet so not sure what its pushing so your build will give me some kind of ballpark range. Will you tune it ?

The motor is out, torn down, and it is off to LN Engineering to get prepared for the new engine rebuild.
Next time we see the block, it will be ready with the new "nickies" sleeved aluminum bore size for the custom JE pistons to have their new home.
