Question Prevent windows rolling up when top goes down?

I've got a 2008 991 Turbo Cab. When I put the top down, there is no beep or other indicator that the top is fully down, but the front windows start to roll up. Is there a way to turn this behavior off? I searched the forums and didn't see anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Install a Smart Top module. It’s one of the best modifications for a cabriolet. It also adds one touch opening and closing of the top.

Buy smarttop from mods4cars.

It's many excellent functions you can customise. Might be Christmas gift to myself

I find that very annoying as well.

Me too. But, it's the only way you know the top is finished.

I am not sure I see the added value of a Smart Top?
A number of essential functions are already available as standard (Remote control of convertible top // Open/Close the top while driving // Coming-home lights).

The interesting ones for me would be:
One-Touch power convertible top
Mirror Park Assist
Chirp-signal function

But 340 EUR doesn't seem like such good value for these 3 (minor) options...

Not criticizing, just curious

But you can also steer how the windows open and shut. There is a lot of options. As I remember you can program so windows never go up after top is opened.

You also have the nice option to lower all 4 windows with one button. To me it's good value as it's plug&play and easy to fit.

Can always sell it after you sell the car.

+1

It's also nice if you’ve got the top down and it starts to rain. One push of the button, and everything is closed up quickly.

Thank you for the replies and the link RaceTwin2. I agree with Zoefhaus that some features overlap standard behavior on the car but, for goodness' sakes, my 2008 Miata would beep when finished retracting the top. ...and the window woudn't hit me in the elbow. I'll give this a try!
