Default 997.1 PCM 2.1 - Backup Camera

Guys... I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find anyone that has done this cleanly.

I am thinking of adding a backup camera to my 2007 997 C2 Cab using this following parts. I would love some comments from those that have tried this or researched it.

My goal is to maintain my current PCM 2.1b system, just add reverse camera. (I don't want to add a 3rd party NAV/Audio system. I quite like my BOSE)

TVandNav2Go . (This system can push video signal to my factory PCM 2.1b screen when reverse is selected)

Camera (Fits cleanly in the reverse light receptacle.

Many thanks,

Nice idea, wonder if the video interface would work for a 2006 997. I guess I have to see if the PCM is 2.1 a or b.
Did you move forward with this?

I ordered these parts now... I will post install and functionality pics when I get it done. I also added a Mobridge unit to my factory stereo and it streams bluetooth and telephone nicely... I will post again soon.

This is highly intriguing... I too will keep my trusty PCM 2.1 (prefer stock).. I added Porsche factory SiriusXM module and it works brilliantly. Last piece of the puzzle is backup camera... Does anyone know the quality of the video on the PCM with the two components listed above? I see S video and cringe/worry the quality will be a waste of money and effort.

since the backup camera will be mounted on the rear bumper. I wonder what happens whenever service need to do maintenance and remove it.

I found a camera that fits in the light lens of the license plate light. It actually replaces the lens, but also still illuminates the license plate properly. It looks really nicely integrated,
