Hi guys,
Any suggestion how to remove a headlight on a 997 with a broke headlight release rod? I managed to snap the head of the passenger side rod.

Havent had to do this with the 997 but I presume it's similar to the 996.
if you remove the front bumper you should be able to access the bottom hardware for the headlight bucket tray's that the release mechanism is built into from underneath the fender right above the OE radiators. Once you loosen that hardware the entire tray and headlight should be able to come out as one unit.

I wonder if you could get to the u-shaped portion of the rod that locks into the headlight by removing the inner fender liner. Remove wheel then remove liner and see of you can get the rod to rotate and flip down.
Once you get it fixed, put some grease on the portion of the headlight and the rod where it locks in so its easier to remove next tine.
