I changed battery and done the key synch process.

Does your other key work properly?
You may have to have the dealer reprogram the DME to recognize the microchip in the key head. If one key works but the other doesn't, make sure you take both to the dealer when doing this.

Yes. lock & unlock works.
gets stranger by the minute,
last few days, when I banged the key alittle, it starts the damned car.
even my kids think its hilarious.
note that this issue is not all rhe time.
In the past 2 weeks or so when this started; i would say the alarm is triggered maybe 1/3 of the time.
the key banging solution has worked 100% f the time starting the car...tried this on both keys since both keys have same iissue.
WTF?

Do you have any other keys on the ring or where you store the key when not in pocket? Sounds like something is blocking or interfering with the electronic portion the the key. In the original GM security key certain car keys would cause the electronic code portion to not work, there would be interference.
