GT Silver console?

GT Silver console?
Hello.
Looking to get my peeling center console painted in my black/black 997.2. I'm thinking black would show too many scratches, but that GT silver would be a close match to the steering wheel and interior trim.
Wondering if anyone has followed the same route?
Also potentially interested in a GT silver console if you have one.
Thx,
Rob

Contact Bumper Plugs, they paint those for you at a great quality and price. I've had mine done in exterior color and it turned out amazing! What color is your exterior? Do the same for center console, I will stay away from other colors not matching your exterior.

$700 + core is a bit steep for a painted console, in my book at least. You might be able to find a local shop to do it for you cheaper. I'd personally wait for a very cheap dinged up used one to show up on classifieds or ebay and use that for the paint job.

I've got sand beige and one of these days I'll need to refinish the console, so I've been considering possibilities also. I've decided when the time comes to go with matte black as I know from experience it can be touched up invisibly quite well. Gloss finishes--any color-- will show scratches and be virtually impossible to touch up without removing and respraying the entire console. If and when I do mine I'll DIY with a rattle can. No way I'm giving someone $700 for such a simple job. And yes I know the prep is complicated because all the old soft-touch paint has to be completely removed.

If you have someone custom paint one for you, afterwards take it to a shop that does vinyl wraps and have them clear bra over the paint, then it will stay new looking forever and the paint would get chipped or scratched from keys, drinks, etc.
