Assuming there are actual holes to vent air then yes it will relieve pressure in the wheel well from radiator venting and brake cooling reducing lift at the front end and increasing air volume over the car which slows the air further reducing lift and increasing downforce. It would only be noticeable at highway speed or track. That is the theory around their application. In practice, these would need to be tested to show that the airflow and routing in the wheel well is such that it actually exits through these vents instead of the side of the wheel well.

IMO, I think these would actually work though a big caveat is the Carrera and Turbo fender liner venting from the radiator directs the air onto the tire and out the side of the wheel well. So there may be some modifications needed (easily done with GT3 liners) to maximize the aero effect these are designed to provide.

I have always liked the front fender vents. I think they would look good even on a base car--especially on a dark-colored car where the vents would be more subtle.

I would shy away from these just because fitting fiberglass parts is a PITA--as you can tell from the pre-paint pictures above. Those gaps would scare me, so you'd have to pay a good body shop to fit them well before any paint was sprayed.

We make a full carbon gt3rs style fender for the 981. Maybe we should make them for the 997? What do you all think?

I can vouch for RS1 and their build quality/reputation. Top notch.

Yup, they are functional, you’d have to modify your inner wheel well liner to allow air flow. I’d like to see the race development fenders made for the 997 but not in carbon fiber. Let’s try and keep the price down our cars are aging...

Those are beautiful but they are too dear for my wallet--at least in carbon fiber. I'll be you'd find some takers on this forum, however.
