Default Exhaust tips
So got a few questions about exhaust tips. I read the 997.2 base and S and interchangeable with the 997.1 S

What size is the pipe?
Anyone buy the cheap ones off eBay?

Don't want to spend $600 if I can only spend $300

Also interested in this. Tips on my 2007C4S are corroded and should be replaced. Hate the idea of paying $600 just to clean up

take your oem ones and get them ceramic coated silver or black and will look like new

I’ve got a set that I’ll be selling that are OEM painted matte black....they came off my 06 C2S (997.1). I’ll be posting those along with some other OEM bits next week.

I take mine off and polish them and they look new. But I want the quad tip look instead of the oval.

I heard it will increase the horsepower too.

Absolutely! Since your doubling the number of tips, the HP doubles as well!

I think I've got a pair of almost new 997.2S tips around here. Prior owner installed GTS tips. I'll take a look tomorrow.

You can get very nice Schnell tips from Vertex in the $300 range. As a matter of fact they usually have sales around every holiday and you may be able to get 10% off close to the 4th in the next week.

I have 2 sets of tips. One silver and the black chrome which I had flat black powder coated. Women and shoes....men and muffler tips...have to have options/accessories...

I have 997.1S tips on my 997.2 base, they fit fine, no modifications were needed. Got a good deal on the 997.1S tips from a fellow Rennlister

Ill jump in-

I too am interested in different tips; I’d like some single-walled larger diameter quads for my 997.2 C2S. I haven’t found what I want yet but I did come across some tips from racing dynamics that seem nice and are reasonably priced. They look similar to the Schnell tips already mentioned.
