Default LED running and fog lights

I swear I'd slap a police light bar on my car if they'd let me to become more visible to pickups (I live in the land of the F-250). So I'm thinking I'll switch to LED (997.2) driving/fog lights. I have to think they're more visible. However, I'm wondering for those of my fellow rennlist brethren who have tried this, does it mess with the blinker speed? I changed on my old 993 and you had to install a capacitor or something in behind the speedometer to keep the blinker speed the same. Also do you feel like other vehicles see you better, or is this a placebo effect?

You may have to jack-up your Porsche.....

There is not much that we, low crawlers, can do when it comes to the ruling and all mighty pick-up trucks. Just stay away from them.

They have the necessary resistors to prevent the hyper flash of the turn signals built in, so they're plug & play.

The front LED's that Pete and I put on our cars greatly increases visibility. Very bright and I always drive with them on. We bought the Turbo version.

+1

And I run mine using the other section of the lights - the perimeter parking light circuit hooked up via a current sensing DRL module through an SPDT relay. On this newer style, the parking light circuit is much brighter than the horizontal fiber optic bar on the older style LEDs and one of the primary reasons I made the change to this newer version, though I also think they look better & cleaner (less busy).

If you want to run the bright fog lights as DRLs instead, find the thread with adding the diode into the wiring just behind the headlight switch. I did that on my wife's car and it works perfectly. Only the front fogs come on whenever the car is running, without the rear tails being on. This is better as it doesn't effect the impact of brake lights when driving in daylight.

The new version looks a lot better than the previous ones. Can I ask where you sourced these from? Thanks.

They're from Unique Style Racing - https://www.uniquestyleracings.com/i...roduct_id=1172

Jack gets the credit for discovering these better looking versions. I just like them when he sent me a pic so updated my older style LEDs to these.

Sweet, thanks Pete. I just might have to do the upgrade on the bumper and tail lights.

Does the light come with the error free relay, so we dont get the annoying error messages?. Thanks for this find, I am ordering a set.

Not on mine so far, but my 997 doesn't see a lot of rain.
